Augos for AI apps: Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
Ask your AI app about your measured data.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to Augos and ask in plain words: what the main incomer cost last month, where line 2 lost its time, when the cold room door opened after hours. The app finds the right Augos report, runs it and answers from your own readings.
Augos is an independent South African measurement company. It builds its own meters and sensors and runs one platform with three pillars: Augos Energy for energy management and bill verification, Augos Factory for OEE and downtime, with an owner on every minute lost, and Augos Sense for wireless sensors that alert you the moment a limit breaks.
For Augos clients: R450 a month per meter on Energy. From R4,950 per line per month on Factory. Ex VAT.
Measured8,087 measurement points across 1,365 sites (Augos platform, points list, May 2026)
One connection, every pillar
Energy, Factory and Sense, in the same conversation.
One connection reaches everything your Augos login can see. Ask about a site's bill, a line's stops and a cold room's temperature without switching tools. Each guide has the exact steps for your app and the questions that work well.
Energy
Ask what a site used and what it cost.
Consumption, cost, the time-of-use split, billed demand, power factor and bill checks, for every site you can see.
“Is the latest municipal bill for our head office right?”
Energy steps and questions ›Factory
Ask where the time went on a line.
OEE, planned and unplanned stops, shifts and operators, line by line.
“Which unplanned stop reason cost line 2 the most time this week?”
Factory steps and questions ›Sense
Ask what a sensor read, and when.
Live readings, overnight history, highs and lows, and every door, pump or alarm state change.
“When did the loading bay door open after 18:00 last week?”
Sense steps and questions ›Your data, your rules
It sees what you see, and it only reads your data.
The app works inside the same access your Augos login has. Every figure it quotes comes from a report you can open in Augos and check yourself.
Your access
It sees what you see.
Every request is checked against your Augos access, point by point. Another client's sites and private tariffs are refused.
Read only
It cannot change your data.
The app reads readings and reports. A setting, a user or a record stays as it is. The one thing it can send is a support request to Augos in your name, and it is asked to check with you first.
Your sign-in
No API key to manage.
You sign in with your own Augos login and press Allow. The app registers itself; there is no client ID or secret.
Your call
Disconnect in seconds.
Augos emails you when an app connects. Disconnect it in Augos and it loses access within seconds.
How to connect
Connected in three steps.
System Administrators, Administrators and Managers connect their own app. The full steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot Studio and Claude Code are in each knowledge base: Energy, Factory and Sense. When you press Allow, you accept the Augos MCP Connector Terms of Service.
Step 1
Copy the address
In Augos, open your profile menu and choose Connect your AI. The address is mcp.augos.io/mcp.
Step 2
Add it to your app
Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. ChatGPT: Plugins, Add. Copilot Studio: Tools, Model Context Protocol.
Step 3
Sign in and allow
Sign in to Augos, press Allow, and ask your first question in plain words.
Questions
Which AI apps can connect to Augos?
Claude (web and desktop), ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot Studio and Claude Code, and other AI apps that support MCP connectors with sign-in.
Who in my company can connect?
System Administrators, Administrators and Managers on your Augos account. Readers, Technicians, Contractors and Tenants cannot.
Can the AI app change anything in Augos?
It cannot change your data, settings or users. Apart from reading, the one thing it can do is raise a support request with Augos in your name, which it is asked to confirm with you first.
Can it see another company's data?
No. It sees exactly the points your login can see, checked on every request. Other clients' sites and private tariffs are refused.
Do I need an API key?
No. The app signs in with your Augos login, and you press Allow. An API key is only for your own integrations.
What happens to what I ask?
Your AI app handles your questions, and what Augos sends back, under its own terms. For business data, use a business or enterprise plan whose terms keep your conversations out of model training.
Which terms apply?
The Augos MCP Connector Terms of Service, at augos.co.za/legal/mcp-connector-terms/. You accept them when you connect an AI app and press Allow, on behalf of your organisation.
How do I stop an app?
In Augos, open your profile menu, choose Connect your AI and press Disconnect next to the app. It loses access within seconds.
Not on Augos yet? See it on your own data.
Tell us what you need to measure, and we will show you the platform, and the AI connection, on your own sites.
