Augos Factory · OEE+

Add accountability to your downtime.

Augos takes the basic concept of OEE and turns it up to 11, adding the human dynamics of manufacturing efficiency and moving from visibility to operator and maintenance accountability. Up to [XX%] of losses are availability-related, so that's where we focus.

The problem

Downtime reason codes can't give you the insight to make real improvements.

Manufacturing data is typically focused on the equipment and the face-value stop reasons. Because you're not measuring human performance, you can't hold your team accountable.

01

The blame game

The line goes down and the argument starts. Production says maintenance was slow, maintenance says it was run wrong, and nobody can prove it either way.

02

Face-value reason codes

You get a reason like "breakdown" or "changeover" and that's where it ends. Nothing about how fast anyone reacted, or how much of the stop was just waiting.

03

Invisible operator performance

On paper, every operator looks the same. You can't see who keeps a line running and who lets a small stop turn into a long one.

04

Production planning overruns

Changeovers and planned maintenance routinely run over. No one tracks the gap between the plan and what actually happened, so the lost time just gets accepted.

The solution

Augos OEE+ drills down past the reasons to find the real opportunities in your stoppages.

It's standard OEE with the human side added underneath. We measure how your operators and maintenance respond to every stop, and how your planning holds up in practice, then put the lost time on whoever can recover it. The blind spots close, and the grey areas get an owner.

01

Benchmark operators

See how every operator and shift handles a stop, measured against the best your line has already run.

02

Training recommendations

The data shows who needs coaching and who should be giving it, so training lands where it actually moves the number.

03

KPI compliance

Track whether the team hits the standards you set, on changeovers, response times and planned stops, instead of hoping they do.

04

Deep loss insights

Drill past the reason code into where the time really went, stage by stage, and find the losses worth chasing.

How it works

Our three layers of accountability.

Standard OEE is the foundation. On top of it you add operator performance, then the full stopped-to-running response and your opportunity target list. Each tier needs the one beneath it, so you build up one at a time.

Intelligence

Visibility
03 · Intelligence

Technical response

How your technical team responds once they're called, stage by stage with every minute owned, and where your recoverable opportunities get ranked into a target list.

02 · Performance

Operator performance

Benchmark every operator and shift on how they handle a stop, measured against the best your own line has already run.

01 · Visibility

Standard OEE

The industry-standard score and the full loss breakdown, showing where your availability, performance and quality time actually goes.

The toolbox

The reports, tools & insights behind every layer.

Every question about where your factory's time goes has a report behind it, whether that's a one-page summary for the board or a single stopped event on the floor.

Performance Overview

The whole time account in one view. Every category of lost time ranked, each one sitting next to the time you could recover from it.

Intelligence

Augos Assist

Connects operators and maintenance so the response to every unplanned stop is timed and owned, closing the grey area where downtime hides.

Intelligence

Unplanned Stoppage Analysis

The full response to a breakdown, drilled from the shift right down to a single event, so you see exactly where the minutes went.

Intelligence

Planned Stoppage Analysis

Changeovers and maintenance windows measured against the plan, with the time you allow set against what the line can actually achieve.

PerformanceIntelligence

Operator Analysis

Every operator scored on how they handle a stop, ranked against the best your own line has already run.

The opportunity

The value of insight.

Across our fleet the gap between an average shift and a line's own best runs about 18 OEE points. Set your numbers, pull the levers, and see the output you'd recover a year, with no new machine.

The sensor

Clips onto the line

A sealed IP67 pulse sensor reads the machine moving and counts every cycle. Nothing wired into your PLC, and it works on any machine, old or new.

The terminal

Where the operator works

A free-standing, sealed industrial unit that stores every reading on board, so measurement carries on even when the network drops.

FAQs

Common questions.

Isn't this just OEE?

The maths is the same. We keep Availability, Performance and Quality exactly as you know them. What we add is an owner on every lost minute, and a breakdown of every stop into steps. That's the part a normal OEE report skips.

What do you mean by the handoff?

When a machine stops, time goes by before it's running again. The operator works out what's wrong, calls for help, waits for a technician, who waits for a part. A normal system logs all of that as one lump of downtime. We time each step and say whose it is.

Do you need to connect to our PLC?

No. One sensor reads the machine moving, with nothing wired into your controls. It goes on quickly and works on old machines that have no PLC at all.

What if our network drops?

The terminal keeps measuring at full resolution and stores everything on board, then syncs the backlog once the connection is back. Nothing is lost while you're offline.

Can we start without the maintenance part?

Yes. Visibility and Performance run off the sensor and terminal on their own. The technician response sits in the Intelligence layer, added once operators call for help from the terminal, so you can turn it on when you're ready.

Will operators feel watched?

We judge on the median, so one bad day doesn't define anyone, and we compare people to your own best shift. The benchmark is one your line has already hit. Measure people clumsily and they'll work around it. This is built to be fair so they don't.

Can we trust the numbers?

Every report saves as a signed file that traces back to the raw machine data, so it holds up when a shift lead, an engineer or finance checks it.

How do you charge?

Per line, per month, for the layer you choose. Activation covers the pulse sensor, which you self-install. Start on one line and add more, or move up a layer, whenever you like.
