Augos Factory / Pricing / Line study

Line study · a one-off time and motion study · one line, one week

One week on one line: the hours your log doesn't explain.

An Augos specialist fits a count sensor and an Augos Operator Terminal on one line, runs it for one week, and takes it out again. The sensor times every stop on its own, interruptions (short stops) included. We set that record beside your shift log, so you see the hours your log does not account for. The sensor needs nobody at the line, so no operator training is needed. Stop reasons are optional: your operators after a 15-minute briefing, or our specialist on a manned shift.

Why two thresholds

The threshold decides what your report shows

Most systems only ask for a reason after a stop passes a set length, often three or five minutes. Everything shorter disappears into "running". Same line, same week: at a 30-second threshold interruptions are a sliver of downtime; at 5 minutes they are a third of it. The stops did not change. The report did.

The study reports your week both ways, so you see what your current threshold hides.

What you get

A week of facts and a walk-through

  • Every stop on the line, with start, end and duration
  • Interruptions counted and timed, at your stop threshold and ours
  • Run time and true speed, shift by shift
  • Your shift log beside the sensor record: the hours it misses
  • Your own rand estimate of the lost hours, from each product's sales value, if you share it
  • A 30-minute walk-through with a manufacturing specialist

What we need from you

One line and one contact

  • A power supply near the bottleneck
  • Your products and their rated speeds
  • Your shift log for the same week
  • Someone to meet our specialist and brief the line team

After the week, the equipment comes out, or the line moves into the three-month paid pilot. If you start the pilot within 30 days, we waive the R19,500 deployment fee.

Options

Add stop reasons when you need them

The sensor times every stop without anyone at the line. Reasons need people: your operators, or ours.

Questions

The line study, answered

Will it disrupt production?

The sensor fits beside the line and reads product as it passes; no machine settings or programs change. Fitting takes only as long as mounting one sensor and one terminal, and is done around your shift.

What if our log is already good?

Then the week confirms it, and you have an independent check of the numbers your meetings run on.

Who sees the data?

You do. Augos uses it only to prepare your report. Anonymised use anywhere else needs your written permission.

Do operators need training?

No. The sensor times every stop on its own. If you want reasons, a 15-minute briefing covers the reason screen, or book a manned shift and our specialist codes them.

Pick the line that hurts most.

Tell us which line and when. We'll confirm the week and what the install needs.
