Every parameter is its own sealed, battery-powered sensor. It reads, it reports, and the platform keeps every reading, watches, tells and acts.
1 · The path a reading takes
The same six steps carry every parameter, from the sensor in the field to the action at the end.
2 · Wireless by design
Sensors report over LoRa, NB-IoT or Sigfox, chosen for range and battery life, so there is no wiring and no dependence on your own network. On a LoRa deployment an on-site base station carries many sensors at once. See Connectivity and the LoRa base station.
3 · From reading to record
Readings arrive on a short cycle, as often as every sixty seconds, and the platform keeps every one. They are rolled into buckets for different jobs: fine one and five-minute detail for charting and diagnostics, and coarser views for the long run. Nothing is ever deleted, so the history is always there to chart, alert on or export.
4 · Two kinds of sensor
Instantaneous sensors report a continuous value against upper and lower thresholds; state sensors report a compliant or breach state. The platform handles each on its own terms, but treats breaches, alerts and history the same way for both. See the instantaneous and state dashboards.
5 · Watch, tell, act
The same readings drive three things: a live compliance view on the dashboards, an alert the moment a limit is crossed, and, where you set a rule, an action, switching a load or driving a valve. Watching and acting run on the same platform and the same rules.
