Door, tamper & beam.

The open or closed state of a door, a tamper switch or a beam, watched and logged the moment it changes.

1 · What we measure

Door, tamper & beam reports the open or closed state of a door, a tamper switch or a beam, as a state rather than a continuous value.

Sensor type

The sensor watches the point where it matters and reports the moment the state changes, so nothing has to be checked by hand.

2 · How it's measured

A sealed, battery-powered wireless sensor watches the point and reports its state, and every change to it, to the platform over LoRa, NB-IoT or Sigfox. There is no wiring to run, and the sensor lasts years on its battery.

Because it reports on change, you see a change the moment it happens, and the platform keeps the full history for the record.

3 · Where it's used

Where door, tamper & beam is put to work, and the payoff in each case:

4 · Alerts & thresholds

Augos tells you the moment the state changes, for example when a contact opens or a detector trips. Alerts reach you on WhatsApp, email or SMS, through Triggers and alerts.

5 · Reports it feeds

Door, tamper & beam flows into the modules that work on state:

6 · Hardware

The hardware for this parameter is being finalised. Tell us your use case and we will advise on the right sensor and how it deploys. See Hardware and deployment.

7 · Extracting the data

Every reading is yours to take off the platform, live through the API, as an AI-ready payload, or as a plain file export down to the interval you choose. See Data and integrations.

Common questions

Is this a reading or a state?

A state. It reports a change rather than a continuous number, and every change is logged with its time.

How quickly will I know?

The moment the state changes, the sensor reports it and the alert is sent.

Is the history kept?

Yes. Every change is stored, so the record can be reviewed or exported later.
