Augos sensors are low-power wireless devices. Each reports over the network that best fits the site.
1 · The networks
Augos sensors report over a low-power wide-area network, the family of radio standards built for battery devices that send small readings over long distances. Four are supported, and the right one depends on how many sensors you have, how far apart they are, and what coverage the site already has.

2 · Choosing between them
LoRa suits a site with many sensors, or one that wants its own coverage, because a single base station carries them all with no per-sensor SIM. NB-IoT suits sensors scattered where a mobile signal already reaches. Sigfox suits simple, infrequent readings where battery life matters most. Cellular carries the higher-data devices such as meters and the LTE switch.
3 · Staying connected
The fleet tracks the mobile networks. Devices built before the 2G sunset relied on 2G and need their modem board swapped to stay online. Everything built from April 2022 ships with a native 4G modem, so connectivity holds for the long term.
