1 · What it is for
Intelligent control is where the platform stops watching and starts acting. A control switch or valve controller fires on a rule you set, closing the loop from a reading to an action with no one in the middle. It is the same platform and the same rules, driving an output instead of raising an alert.
2 · How the rules work
2.1 · What fires it
Switch on a weekly schedule, in line with loadshedding, by time-of-use tariff, on a live reading from a sensor such as temperature or level, or by hand.
2.2 · What it drives
The Airswitch switches devices directly, and larger loads through external contactors, in AC or DC. Valve controllers open and close valves on a schedule or a reading.
3 · Use cases
- Loadshedding. Shed non-critical load ahead of a stage and restore it after.
- Tariff switching. Run a load only in the cheaper time-of-use blocks.
- Irrigation. Open a valve when soil moisture drops below its band.
- Temperature control. Cut a heater or fan once a reading reaches its limit.
- Level control. Hold a tank or pump within a level band.
4 · The hardware
Control runs on the Airswitch and valve controllers. The Airswitch comes in LoRa or LTE versions and in AC and DC models, driving larger loads through external contactors.
5 · Good to know
Control acts; monitoring watches. A rule can chain off any sensor reading, so control and sensing work together. Safety-critical interlocks belong in hardwired protection systems, not in a wireless control rule, and, like everything else, control is scoped to your access.
