Augos Sense · Agriculture

Measure your soil and water, wirelessly.

Soil moisture, temperature and salinity, plus water level, flow and pressure, measured continuously across your land. Get alerted the moment a reading passes a limit you set, and see it all on one cloud platform.

The problem

You are watering and managing your land on a guess.

A crop lives or dies on water and salt in the root zone, but most of it is judged by eye or by a probe someone walks out to now and then. Between those checks, a block can dry out or a line can burst without anyone knowing.

01

Watering blind

Irrigate on a fixed schedule and you either waste water and pump power, or stress the crop, because the schedule never matches what the soil actually needs.

02

Salt creeping up

Salinity builds in the root zone slowly and invisibly, until yield drops and no one can say when it started.

03

A burst you find at month-end

A pipe bursts or a pump fails overnight, and the first sign is a dry field or a water bill, long after the damage is done.

04

Water you cannot account for

Without flow and pressure on the line, you cannot tell how much water reached the crop, or where it leaked away.

The solution

One sensor turns a blind spot into a live reading.

Put a sealed, battery-powered sensor on each condition you care about. It reports to one cloud platform, and Augos does the watching, so you only hear about it when something moves.

01

Measure it

A wireless sensor on each condition, reporting to the minute, for years on a battery, with no wiring to run.

02

Get told

Set the range that matters. The moment a reading passes it, you get a message on WhatsApp.

03

Act on it

Open or close an irrigation valve automatically on a soil-moisture reading or a schedule, or send someone before a block dries out.

What we measure

The soil and water parameters.

Each parameter is a separate sensor, so you deploy only the ones you need and add more anytime.

Soil moisture

Water in the root zone, by depth.

Soil temperature

Temperature in the root zone.

Soil salinity

Salt concentration in the soil.

Water level

Depth in a dam, tank or channel.

Water flow

Rate through a pipe or channel.

Water pressure

Pressure in a supply line.

Water salinity

Salt concentration in the water.

Water conductivity

Dissolved solids in the water.

Air temperature

Ambient air over the crop.

Humidity

Moisture in the air.

Rainfall

Precipitation over time.

Wind speed & direction

How hard, and from where.

Irradiance

Solar energy on the crop.

Wet bulb

Heat stress for crops and livestock.

Dew point

Frost and leaf-wetness risk.

Use cases

Where sites put it to work.

Precision irrigation

Soil moisture per block tells you when to water and when to hold, so you use less water and pump less power.

Frost and heat protection

Air and soil temperature on the block trigger frost protection or a heat plan before the crop is hit.

Salinity management

Track salt in soil and water over time, and flush before it costs you yield.

Pump and line health

Pressure and flow catch a burst or a failing pump the moment it happens, not at month-end.

Dam and reservoir levels

Water level in dams and tanks, so you know what you have and get warned before you run dry.

Fertigation and dosing

Conductivity and flow confirm nutrient is reaching the root zone at the rate you set.

On one platform

One place for every sensor and site.

Every parameter here runs on the same wireless platform: a live dashboard, custom alerts on your thresholds, intelligent control, and data export. See how it fits together on the Augos Sense overview, or browse the other seven areas.

Alerts & thresholds

Set the limits that matter, and hear about it the moment a threshold is exceeded.

Set an upper limit, a lower limit, or both for any sensor here. The instant a reading passes it, the person who can act gets a message, on WhatsApp, email or SMS.

FAQs

Common questions.

How do the sensors connect?

Wirelessly, over LoRa, NB-IoT or Sigfox, chosen for the coverage and density of your site. There is no wiring to run.

How long do the batteries last?

Years. The sensors are low-power and report on a schedule, or when a reading changes, so there is no mains and no cabling to plan for.

How fast can we install?

A single-sensor pilot is typically live within 48 hours of order. You add more sensors and sites the same way.

What can it alert on, and how?

Set an upper limit, a lower limit or a rate of change on any sensor. The moment one is passed, the right person gets a message on WhatsApp, email or SMS.

Where does the data go?

Into one cloud platform, hosted in South Africa. Watch it live, set alerts, chart it, or export it for your own tools or an AI model.

How are you priced?

Per sensor, plus connectivity monthly and the platform per deployment. The single-sensor pilot is the standard way in.
