Dew point.

The temperature at which the air saturates and condenses, measured continuously and watched against the limits you set.

1 · What we measure

Dew point is the temperature at which the air saturates and condenses, reported as a continuous value.

Sensor type

The sensor reads it where it happens, so each point is measured where it matters rather than inferred from a single site figure.

2 · How it's measured

A sealed, battery-powered wireless sensor reads dew point at its location and reports it to the platform over LoRa, NB-IoT or Sigfox. There is no wiring to run, and the sensor lasts years on its battery.

How often it reports depends on the device and the network, from once a minute to a few times an hour. Between reports the platform holds every reading, so a trend can be plotted in Charting and a threshold checked continuously.

3 · Where it's used

Where dew point is put to work, and the payoff in each case:

4 · Alerts & thresholds

Set an upper limit, a lower limit, or both, and Augos tells you the moment a reading crosses it. A rate-of-change alert catches a fast move before the reading even leaves its band. Alerts reach you on WhatsApp, email or SMS, through Triggers and alerts.

5 · Reports it feeds

Dew point flows into every module that works on continuous readings:

6 · Hardware

Dew point is read by the temperature sensor, sealed and battery-powered and fitted where the reading matters. Deploy one on its own or alongside other parameters, and see Hardware and deployment for how it connects and installs.

7 · Extracting the data

Every reading is yours to take off the platform, live through the API, as an AI-ready payload, or as a plain file export down to the interval you choose. See Data and integrations.

Common questions

What units is it reported in?

°C, to the resolution of the sensor.

How often does it update?

From once a minute to a few times an hour, depending on the device and the network it reports over.

Which device reads it?

The temperature sensor, sealed and battery-powered.

Can I alert on how fast it is changing?

Yes. As well as upper and lower limits, a rate-of-change trigger catches a fast rise or fall before the reading leaves its band.
