Smoke reports smoke from combustion or fire, as a state rather than a continuous value.
The sensor watches the point where it matters and reports the moment the state changes, so nothing has to be checked by hand.
2 · How it's measured
A sealed, battery-powered wireless sensor watches the point and reports its state, and every change to it, to the platform over LoRa, NB-IoT or Sigfox. There is no wiring to run, and the sensor lasts years on its battery.
Because it reports on change, you see a change the moment it happens, and the platform keeps the full history for the record.

Augos tells you the moment the state changes, for example when a contact opens or a detector trips. Alerts reach you on WhatsApp, email or SMS, through Triggers and alerts.

Is this a reading or a state?
A state. It reports a change rather than a continuous number, and every change is logged with its time.
How quickly will I know?
The moment the state changes, the sensor reports it and the alert is sent.
Is the history kept?
Yes. Every change is stored, so the record can be reviewed or exported later.
