Augos Energy / How we deploy
Metering rollouts for multisite portfolios
From order to live data, site by site.
Each measurement point is assessed from a phone, installed by a qualified electrician with the installer app guiding the job, checked live before activation and recorded on a job card. Live minutes after installation.
Augos is the energy back office for multisite businesses in South Africa: energy management software, bill verification and independent advisers, checking what every site should pay against the meter and the tariff.
The process
Six steps for every site.
1 · Assess
Self-assessment
The measurement point is recorded from a phone with photos and GPS, and the CT fit check picks the CT for the breaker. No contractor visit to quote.
2 · Order
Works order and quote
The assessment feeds the works order, the material list and the quote, tied to the site's GPS-located record.
3 · Install
Guided installation
Your own technician or usual contractor fits the meter, with the installer app guiding each step on their phone.
4 · Check
Meter quality checks
Live readings checked before activation: polarity, phase rotation, missing voltage or current, and signal. A failed check stops activation.
5 · Configure
Over the air
Settings are configured remotely. No site visit to change a setting.
6 · Record
Job card and evidence pack
Photos, data checks, notes, time stamp and GPS for every installation, emailed on activation and kept on record.
Why it matters at scale
Local installers, one standard.
Travel and labour are among the largest costs of a rollout. A guided, checked installation lets the electrician who already knows the site do the work, while every site is installed, checked and recorded the same way, with the Augos energy desk behind each installer.
Free site assessment
Assess your measurement point and get a quote.
Tell us the site type, supply size and number of sites, photograph the measurement point, and we quote. Electricity now; water, gas and fuel next.
What it costs
One price per meter.
R450 a month per meter, ex VAT, covers every module. Installation is by your electrician, at their contracted rate.
Questions
Who installs the meters?
A qualified electrician: your own on-site technician or the contractor you already use for electrical work. The installer app guides the job, so no specialist Augos technician needs to travel to site.
Who is responsible for what?
Augos is responsible for the hardware. The installer is responsible for the wiring and workmanship, and is paid by you at their normal rate.
How do you know an installation is right?
The installer app checks the meter's live readings before activation, including polarity, phase rotation, missing voltage or current, and signal strength. If a check fails, activation stops and the app guides the fix, with the Augos energy desk behind the installer.
What record do we get?
A job card for every installation, emailed on activation: photos, the data checks, notes, a time stamp and GPS co-ordinates, kept on record for when the installation changes later.
How soon is a site live?
Minutes after installation. The meter is identified, checked and activated in the same visit.
Can we roll out across many sites and countries?
Yes. Every device lands on the same platform and the same measurement hierarchy, wherever it is installed.
