Deployment
Augos hardware is built to go in fast and far. Any qualified electrician can install it, an app on their phone guides the whole job, and the devices ship worldwide, so a rollout can run from one site to a portfolio spread across regions and countries.
1 · Installed by any qualified electrician
There is no specialist Augos technician to schedule. The Nova meter clamps onto your existing supply with current transformers, and is fitted by a qualified electrician as part of normal switchboard work, with minimal disruption to the site. The pulse and water-level sensors are simpler still: they mount onto an existing meter or into a tank, battery-powered and wireless, with nothing to wire into your network.
2 · The installer app guides the whole job
The electrician works through a free app on their own phone, a web app added to the home screen from installer-app.augos.io. It walks them through the install step by step:
- Scan the QR code on the meter to identify the exact device.
- Enter the site address and a note on where the meter sits.
- Capture the GPS location of the installation.
- Enter the CT ratio read from the clamp.
- Check the live readings on the spot: voltage on every phase, current, power and power factor, to confirm the meter is wired correctly before leaving.
Because the device is identified, commissioned and verified in the same visit, it goes in installed and live, with no separate commissioning trip. If something is wrong the app flags it there and then, for instance a negative power reading that means a current transformer is the wrong way round.
3 · From one site to a global portfolio
Each device activates itself onto the platform through the app, so a rollout scales without a central bottleneck. One site or several hundred, in one city or across regions and countries, all land on the same platform and in the same measurement hierarchy. There is no separate system per site, and no gap between countries: the whole estate is costed and compared in one place.
4 · Shipped worldwide
The devices are compact and standard, a DIN-rail meter and wireless sensors, so they ship quickly across the globe and install on local supplies. A site in another country can be metered and brought onto the platform without anyone from Augos travelling to it.
5 · Common questions
Who installs the hardware?
Any qualified electrician. There is no specialist Augos technician to book; the installer app guides them through the whole job, from identifying the device to confirming it is reading correctly.
How disruptive is the installation?
Minimal. The meter clamps onto your existing supply with current transformers and is fitted by a qualified electrician as part of normal switchboard work, with little interference to the site. The sensors mount onto an existing meter or tank.
How is a device activated?
Through the installer app during the install. The device is identified, commissioned and checked against its live readings in the same visit, so it goes in already live on the platform.
How do I get the installer app?
It is a web app. The electrician opens installer-app.augos.io in the phone’s browser, on iPhone (Safari) or Android (Chrome), and adds it to the home screen, where it opens like a normal app.
Can I roll out across several sites or countries at once?
Yes. Every device lands on the same platform and hierarchy wherever it is, so a portfolio across regions and countries is managed in one place.
