The devices behind the data. Augos supplies the meters and sensors and runs the platform they report into, so one provider stands behind the whole chain: the measurement, and the system that reads it.
1 · Measurement you can trust
The Nova meter is built to billing accuracy: type-approved to Class 0.5S, the grade utilities use for revenue metering, and every unit is calibrated against South Africa's national measurement standards. A random tenth of each batch is independently calibrated at a SANAS-accredited laboratory before it ships. That is what lets the data stand up, whether you are reporting it internally or challenging a utility's bill.
2 · On the platform, and standalone
Most of the kit reports to the platform continuously. The Nova reads electricity permanently, at billing accuracy. The pulse and water-level sensors cover water, gas, fuel and compressed air; being battery-powered and wireless, they fit with minimal disruption and report at their own interval rather than the mains.
PowerTrack and QualiTrack are different: portable survey loggers that don’t touch the platform at all. They go on for a study of days or weeks and record to their own software on a PC, and are often used to scope or check a site before a permanent Nova brings it onto the platform.

The hardware is built to go in fast: any qualified electrician can install it, guided by an app, and a rollout scales across sites, regions and countries.

Who stands behind the hardware and the data?
The Nova meter and the sensors are Augos hardware, billing-accurate and calibrated to national measurement standards, and Augos runs the platform they report into. So one provider is responsible for the whole chain, the readings and the reports built on them.
How accurate is the metering?

What’s the difference between the permanent and portable devices?
The Nova is for ongoing measurement and management: a permanent, mains-powered meter on the platform, reporting down to the minute. PowerTrack and QualiTrack are for short-term studies, fitted for days or weeks to evaluate a project, find the significant energy users on a site, or scope power-factor correction and the harmonic protection it needs. They record to their own software and come off once the study is done.
Do I have to replace my existing meters?
It depends on the utility. For electricity, you fit the Nova; you can connect an existing meter with a modem or data feed, but that costs more for a weaker result, so a Nova is usually cheaper and gives you calibrated, dispute-grade data. For water, gas, fuel and compressed air, it depends on the meter: most have a pulse output, and where they do, the pulse sensor fits straight to it with no replacement. Where there is no pulse output, the meter has to be swapped for one that does.
