Overview
Augos turns raw electrical measurement into decisions. A calibrated meter reads your supply, the readings are carried to the Augos cloud, priced against live tariffs, and presented through a set of reporting modules. Every figure on a report traces back to a measured interval, so it can be checked rather than trusted.
From meter to dashboard
There are four stages: the meter measures, the platform ingests, the tariff engine prices, and the modules present. Each stage keeps the underlying interval data intact, which is what makes the output auditable.
- Measure — the Nova meter records energy, demand, power factor and power quality at your supply.
- Ingest — readings sync to the Augos cloud, hosted in South Africa.
- Price — the tariff engine overlays your exact tariff onto each interval.
- Present — the reporting modules turn priced intervals into dashboards and reports.
The measurement layer
Measurement is the foundation, so the meter is billing-accuracy: Class 0.5S, type-approved at an accredited national metrology lab. It captures active, reactive and apparent energy, maximum demand, power factor per phase, harmonics and frequency, on a continuous interval basis.

Ingestion and the tariff engine
Readings travel to the cloud over the meter’s own secure cellular link. If the link drops, the meter holds its readings on board and sends them once it is back, so a patch of bad signal costs you nothing; the data just arrives a little later. Once readings reach the cloud, the tariff engine prices every interval against the live South African tariff structures, including time-of-use windows, demand charges and fixed service charges for your point of delivery. This is what lets the platform show what Monday at 2pm actually cost, not an average.
The intelligence layer
On top of priced intervals sit the reporting modules: dashboards, consumption and cost breakdowns, bill verification, time-of-use and tariff comparison, technical analysis, charting, triggers and more. Each module is a different view of the same measured source, so the numbers reconcile across all of them.
Data, export and AI-readiness
Nothing is locked in. Every report can be exported as raw or structured data, including an AI-ready payload that an external agent can read directly. Data is retained for at least five years and remains yours.
