Where to find your current rates
The rates applied to your site are printed on the Cost Breakdown report. Pull that report for the month you are interested in and the rates are on it. You do not need to email Augos for them each year.
What you will see
- "What is the new monthly tariff from 1 July going forward?"
- "I have to ask for the updated rates every year."
- "Can you confirm the rates loaded on the portal are correct?"
What to do
- Open Cost Breakdown for the site.
- Select the month you want. Winter and summer rates differ, so pick a month inside the season you are asking about.
- The applied rates for your tariff appear on the report.
If you want the rates for a season that has not started yet you can view this under "view details" on the three dot menu on the blue bar with your tariff details on. For the draft rates before they are finalised, ask support. Augos maintains the current and draft schedules per municipality and tariff class.
Which rates you will see
For a typical large power user tariff, the components are:
- Consumption in peak, standard and off-peak, per kilowatt hour, differing by high and low season
- Demand charge, per kilovolt-ampere
- Network capacity or network access charge, per kilovolt-ampere
- Daily or monthly service charge
Smaller tariffs may have no demand component at all, which changes how some charges are calculated. See The charges on your bill explained.
Good to know
- The rates on your Cost Breakdown are the rates Augos has loaded for your site. If they do not match your account, that is worth reporting: the municipality's own tariff booklet takes precedence over the national published book, and Augos will correct the scheme.
- Draft rates released for public comment are not final until gazetted. Augos will say so when supplying them.
- To model an increase, ask for a comparison: the same consumption costed on the old rates and the new ones, and on winter rates as well. Augos has produced this and it answers the "how much worse is this really" question better than a rate table.
