What support can do for you, and what you can do yourself

Quite a lot of what customers email about every month can be pulled in under a minute on the platform. Equally, a number of common needs can only be done by Augos. Knowing which is which saves everyone time.

You can do these yourself

  • Pull any report: Dashboard, Consumption Breakdown, Technical Analysis, Cost Breakdown, Time of Use, Cost Allocation, Charting.
  • Download data in Excel or comma separated values, at the interval you choose.
  • Recalculate a Cost Allocation report from the three-dot menu.
  • Capture a bill and run a bill verification.
  • Change the date range on any page that supports one.
  • Log in and reset your own password.
  • Set up triggers and notifications.

The platform runs around the clock, including when the Augos office is closed. If your month-end falls on a public holiday you are not dependent on anyone being at a desk.

Only Augos can do these

  • Add, amend or remove users, and change user levels.
  • Make new measurement points visible.
  • Rename measurement points (free, just email the change).
  • Load or amend a tariff scheme.
  • Change a current transformer ratio, and trigger the recache that makes it apply historically.
  • Flip the polarity on a point.
  • Change pulse ratios and pulse log channels.
  • Remove a data spike and recalculate the affected period.
  • Fill a gap with interpolated or comparable-day data.
  • Recalculate or recache a point's tariff reports.
  • Delete a captured bill from the back end when the interface refuses.
  • Reallocate meters between cost centres.
  • Issue and renew API tokens.
  • Reset a meter remotely, check its network and data allocation.
  • Produce bulk and historical exports for deactivated sites.
  • Restructure the site hierarchy or billing points.

Augos will also do these on request

These are services rather than fixes, and are worth knowing exist:

  • Load your bills and run the verification for you. Email the account as a portable document format file. A large share of verification work is done this way.
  • Split a utility account across distribution boards, departments, cost centres or tenants.
  • Produce tenant statements per unit, including for vacant periods.
  • Compare units against each other or period on period.
  • Review your tariff and advise whether a change would be worthwhile. A high-level review is free; a full analysis is quoted.
  • Evidence supply outages and voltage dips from interval data for an insurance claim.
  • Rent out quality of supply loggers.
  • Quote and arrange hardware: replacement meters, current transformers, antennas, pulse units, and technician visits.

Training

Ask. A short session over video call is routinely offered and is usually enough. The self-service user manual is at https://augos.co.za/energy/kb/platform/how-it-works/.

If you find yourself emailing for the same report every month, that is a training signal rather than a support ticket. Say so and someone will show you.

Still stuck

Email support@augos.io and describe the outcome you want.
