Bulk and historical exports, including deactivated sites
Large historical exports can be downloaded from Data Download. If you are unsure, email support@augos.io with the four scoping answers (points, sites, format, interval) and the period. Expect a few days for a multi-site, multi-year pull.
When you need this
- Transferring history into your own system.
- A year or more of interval data for an engineering or feasibility study.
- Data for a site that has been deactivated and no longer appears in your meter list.
Deactivated sites
A deactivated site drops off your self-service meter list, but the data is retained. Ask and it can be requested from the archive and delivered, including at one minute resolution.
What to expect
- Volume matters. A year of interval data for one point is a large file. Augos splits large pulls into chunks by quarter or by point rather than sending one file that will not deliver by email.
- Granularity is the thing to be explicit about. "Interval data" has been read as daily by one party and as minute by another in the same thread, and a year of the wrong granularity is a wasted week. State the interval in words: minute data, half hour, hourly.
What to send
- Which points: main points only, or sub-points too.
- Which sites.
- Comma separated values or Excel.
- The interval.
- The exact start and end dates.
- What the data is for, if it helps. A feasibility study and a billing archive want different things and saying so lets support flag a mismatch early.
Good to know
- Filled or interpolated values carry a flag in the export. If the data is going into a baseline or a measurement and verification exercise, filter on it. See Downloading your data.
- If you are leaving the platform, ask for the export before deactivation rather than after. It is simpler for everyone, though the archive route does work.
