"No data found", or the data stops on a date
Three different things produce this message, and they need different fixes. Either the meter is not publishing, or the meter is fine but the report behind the page has not caught up, or the point is publishing and the page simply cannot render it. Working out which one you have takes about two minutes.
Tell them apart
Open Technical Analysis for the same point and the same period.
| Technical Analysis shows | What you have | Go to |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing after the same date | The meter is not publishing | My meter is offline |
| Data right up to now | The report is behind the raw data | A report is behind the raw data |
| Data, but the page you started on still shows nothing after a hard refresh | A display or caching problem | Below |
This one check saves most of the back and forth, because the two causes look identical from the page where the customer noticed them.
What you will see
- "No data found" on the water page, or on Time of Use, or on Cost Breakdown.
- Consumption stops on the 4th and today is the 20th.
- A month has vanished from the date selector.
- Everything looks right on the technical view but the report is short.
What to do
- Do a hard refresh first (Ctrl, Shift and R together). A stale browser cache after a platform change produces this often enough to be worth ruling out in ten seconds.
- Check the same point and period on Technical Analysis, and use the table above.
- Check the point's last activity timestamp. See How current is my data.
- If the meter is publishing but the report is short, email support and ask for the point to be recalculated. That is a back-end action, not something you can do yourself, and it is usually done within minutes.
Good to know
- On the water side there is a fourth possibility: the Augos unit is online and healthy but the pulse signal from your own water meter is not reaching it. See Water showing zero or no readings.
- "No data found" does not mean data has been lost. Meters buffer, and support can usually tell you within minutes whether the readings exist.
- Do not keep resetting the meter while you wait. If the meter is online and the report is lagging, resetting it does nothing and can make the picture harder to read.
Still stuck
Email support@augos.io with the point path, the page you are on, the date the
data stops, and a screenshot. Say whether Technical Analysis shows the same gap.
