The OEE+ method.
Standard OEE shows the loss. OEE+ shows who owns it. These five pages explain how: every lost minute is assigned to the function that can recover it, stops are classified and ranked, unplanned stops are split into five timed stages, planned stops are judged against a standard, and the line's own best shift becomes its target.
The idea in one paragraph
A line improves through two levers. Plant needs capital and stops the line while it is changed. People need insight and a fair measure. Without capital, people are the lever, and consistent operator behaviour is a powerful force on a line while inconsistency quietly destroys output. Standard OEE cannot see any of that: it reports that forty minutes were lost to a breakdown and stops there. OEE+ keeps the standard arithmetic intact, so the score stays comparable, and adds the column standard OEE never had: the owner. Once a lost minute has an owner, it has a fix, and once the line's own best shift is the benchmark, the fix has a size.
The method pages
OEE+ and the Owner column
The six big losses mapped to six owners, with a real month's loss breakdown from an anonymised line.
Stoppage analysis
Planned stops, unplanned stops and interruptions (what standard OEE calls minor stops or micro-stops): why interruptions are measured apart from speed, and how a Pareto by owner changes the fix.
Stoppage Response Stages
The five timed stages inside every unplanned stop, from the operator's first look to the last turn of the wrench.
Planning Efficiency Loss and Operator Discipline
Two losses inside every planned stop, with opposite owners and opposite fixes, and the Capacity Opportunity between them.
Best Operator Benchmark
Why your own best shift is a better target than a textbook figure, and how it is calculated fairly.
Common questions
Is OEE+ a different formula from OEE?
No. OEE+ calculates Availability, Performance and Quality exactly as standard OEE does, so the score stays comparable with any other plant. The difference is one added column in the loss breakdown: the owner of each lost minute.
Do I need the whole method to start?
No. Augos Factory is one offer, and the standard fee includes every capability except the metrics that depend on Augos Assist. The Stoppage Response Stages, which split an unplanned stop between operator and technician, need Augos Assist, an optional extra.
Where do the numbers on these pages come from?
Every figure carries a source line. Worked examples use anonymised data from the Augos platform, with the site, line, products and people removed, or the textbook example used on the reference pages. Nothing is invented; where a figure is modelled rather than measured, the page says so.
