Getting a colleague access to your site
Email support@augos.io with the person's full name, email address and which site or measurement points they need. The request must come from an authorised contact at the account holder. Access is usually granted the same day, often within the hour.
What you will see
- A new staff member has no login.
- Someone has left and their replacement needs the same view.
- An existing user needs a second site added to their profile.
- A contractor or consultant asks for access on your behalf.
Why it happens
There is no self-service user administration on the platform. Every add, change and removal is done by Augos support on request. This is deliberate: access is granted per measurement point, and Augos will not widen someone's view without the account holder asking.
What to do
Send one email to support@augos.io containing:
- The person's full name and email address (the email address becomes their username).
- The site or sites they need, and whether they need all metering on that site or only named measurement points.
- Whether this is a new user or an addition to an existing profile.
If you are a consultant, contractor, integrator or solar provider asking on behalf of a client, copy in the client contact who can authorise it. Augos will wait for that authorisation before acting.
What Augos will do
Support creates or amends the profile, scopes it to the sites and points you named, and replies confirming exactly what was granted. Where a profile already exists, they edit it rather than creating a duplicate.
Good to know
- New users receive no password. They follow the "Generate new password" flow at https://live.augos.io/. See Logging in for the first time.
- On a site where a landlord holds the account, the landlord decides who gets access. See Access on landlord and tenant sites.
- Access to the application programming interface (API) is bound to a user profile and inherits that profile's point access, so fix the user's access first. See API access and tokens.
Still stuck
Email support@augos.io with the person's name, email address and the site
name. If they can log in but cannot see a point, say which point.
