New meters and installations

Send the signed installation form with the consumption details and the serial numbers to support@augos.io or follow the installer app. Augos activates the points and confirms back, quoting the full point path and the serial for each one.

What you get back

A confirmation naming each point in full and its serial, for example Site|Building|Area (PM…). Check these against what was physically fitted. A serial transcribed wrongly produces a point that never comes online, and it is much easier to catch on the day than a month later.

After activation

  • Verify the point actually comes online. Augos will usually flag a point that has not, but check on your side too.
  • Ask for visibility for the right people. Newly created points are automatically visible to existing users. See Getting a colleague access to your site.
  • Get a tariff loaded. A new site with no tariff produces consumption and no cost. Send the most recent utility account. See There is no cost showing.
  • Run a bill verification. This is how you find out the tariff and the current transformer ratios are right, rather than discovering it a year later.
  • Check the point names. Renaming is free and takes an email. Sites are often commissioned with the electrician's naming.

New pulse units for water

These require a purchase order and a signed service level agreement addendum before fulfilment. Commissioning needs two timestamped manual readings so the pulse ratio can be confirmed against real consumption. See How water metering works.

Still stuck
